About Bekka
Bekka
brings a deep passion for justice and mercy to her role in supporting trafficked and exploited youth across Georgia. Her work with vulnerable populations both internationally and domestically has given her a strong foundation for walking alongside youth who have experienced trauma.
In Bangladesh, Bekka helped communities understand the benefits of keeping daughters in school rather than giving them as child brides, directly addressing systems of child sex trafficking. In Nigeria, she worked on a communications team that developed a self-sustaining water well company for villages and served children at an HIV/AIDS clinic. In Mexico, she supported youth in orphanages by offering care, encouragement, and love—helping them recognize their worth and potential to break cycles of poverty. On the Tohono O’odham Nation reservation in Arizona, she worked to improve living conditions while encouraging healthy child development, and in New Orleans, she served families affected by Hurricane Katrina through emergency relief efforts.
Bekka’s professional background in the Hollywood entertainment industry as a TV/film actor, model, host, and video game performance capture artist uniquely connects her to a demographic heavily targeted by traffickers—youth in gaming communities. This awareness has fueled her advocacy and commitment to prevention.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech & Interpersonal Communications and Theatre, is trained in Trauma-Informed Care, and has professional experience as a journalist, event and staff manager, and assistant director in Hollywood.
Today, Bekka is dedicated to channeling her diverse skills and global experiences into Safe Passage’s mission in Georgia—empowering trafficked youth to heal, thrive, and walk in a hope-filled future.
